Antonio J Espinosa
Chief Executive Officer & President
Antonio J Espinosa is a senior operating executive with expertise in global field operations. His interests include efforts in IoT, B2B SaaS Enterprise, mobile applications, and security software systems. He has served as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer & President, Vice President and Managing Director of divisions for both public and private firms.
Antonio has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Electrical Engineering degrees from the University of California at Davis. He also has Master of Business from the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. Antonio completed his academics with an Executive Management degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
He was born of Spanish heritage in California and is fluent in English and Spanish. He has traveled and led business operations in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Antonio loves anything to do with sports, photography, and the the outdoors – especially camping, backpacking, and fishing.
Chairman & Co-Founder
Tatsuya leads business development at Midokura, where he leverages his decades of experience with startups and technology, including extensive (human) networks in the Japanese IT industry.
Tatsuya has a proven track record in top management positions at Japanese public IT service and mobile internet companies, as well as VC fund management with investments in internet and software sectors.
He served as committee member of multiple Japanese government organizations and several startups. Tatsuya is director of Royal Gate, Shift, Millmo, Movad Japan, and boox.
Tatsuya graduated from Kyoto University with a major in Engineering. He played on the university’s football team as a part of two national championship teams.
Pino de Candia
Chief Technology Officer
As CTO, Pino is responsible for Midokura’s technical innovation and evolution of its flagship technology MidoNet.
Pino de Candia joined Midokura as a Software Engineer in 2010. He built the early versions of MidoNet, led the Network Controller team as engineering lead and the Architecture team as chief architect in Barcelona.
Prior to Midokura, Pino built the Dynamo technology, a highly-available noSQL data store for Amazon.com.Amazon technologies similar to Dynamo are used to power the Amazon S3 service today.
Pino holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science, both in Computer Science, from Cornell University.
Chief Financial Officer
Tim is a senior executive in operations and finance for hardware, software, media and cleantech companies. As CFO for Midokura, he focuses on financial planning and analysis (FP &A), oversees Midokura’s corporate infrastructure. Prior to Midokura, Tim was the CFO for NovaTorque, a global manufacturer for innovative, energy-efficient electric motors and part of Regal’s family of companies.
Tim’s previous investment experience includes acquisitions, high-growth ventures, restarts and debt-funded operations.
A Fulbright scholar, Tim holds a Masters of Business Administration from Wharton University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University.
