Barclays Select Series 2013: Software Defined Data Center Forum

Barclays
November 14, 2013

The First Annual Barclays Software Defined Datacenter Forum will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Barclays Conference Center in New York City.

The conference will explore one of the most important themes currently in IT – the commoditization of hardware and growing importance of software in cloud computing. Greater adoption of the cloud has deep implications for how IT works, as the benefit of greater economies of scale also introduces increased complexity that needs to be managed. The forum will address many of the rising challenges and opportunities, including the new management layers (e.g. OpenStack, vCloud, CloudStack), new infrastructure technologies (software defined networking (SDN) and storage), as well as the different approaches to implementing private and public clouds. The forum will explore leading and up-and-coming vendors that are attacking this emerging opportunity in IT.

Dan will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion, Private Software Defined Networking Panel, about how the emerging software defined datacenter landscape is disrupting the traditional enterprise IT ecosystem.
